SAMBA, May 28: District administration, Samba, today carried out a massive anti encroachment drive and retrieved 400 Kanal State land on the outskirts of Samba township.
On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta, the anti encroachment team led by Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Jitender Mishra reached the spot early morning and pressed multiple JCBs machines to remove large number of temporary and permanent structures including pavements, wall boundary, Concrete RCC, sheds, barbed wires, poles, shops and others. Assistant Commissioner Revenue, while informing about the anti encroachment drive said that the State land belonging to Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Samba was retrieved after a 6 hour long anti encroachment drive. “The State land under Khasra no 1 in village Arazi, khasra No. 1 of village Beri, Khasra No. 44 of village Samlah and Khasra no 79 of village Mananu measuring around 399 Kanals 14 marlas was cleared from all type of encroachment” said ACR samba.
There was a heavy deployment of police force as well on the spot while JCBs were dismantling multiple structures.
The officers of KVK present during the drive were handed over the possession of the retrieved land. It is expected that the land shall be utilized for promoting agricultural best practices in Samba district.
Tehsildar Samba, Rampal, senior Officers of KVK Samba, SHO concerned and other field staff of revenue and police were part of the team.
