SRINAGAR, Mar 28: Police seized 400 Kilograms of U-Clamp (used at top electric poles for joining two electric wires) along with nut bolts and arrested three accused persons near Pattan area of Baramulla district last evening.
Police spokesperson said, on a tip Police party headed by DySP (Prob) Arvinder Singh, SHO police Station Pattan established a Naka at Babateng, Pattan and intercepted a auto load carrier bearing registration number JK05C 3010. During search of the vehicle, 400 kilograms of stolen U-Clamp with Nut bolts were recovered. Police has arrested the driver of the vehicle Barkat Ali Rather, son of Ali Mohammad, resident of Sultanpora Kandi and two other accused, Irshad Hussain Rather, son of Mohammad Akbar, resident of Sultanpora and Reyaz Ahmad Chouhan, son of Abdul Rashid resident of Zugakaran, Budgam. Police has registered a case and investigation is on.
