41 cases settled in Lok Adalat

JAMMU, Jan 25: A permanent Lok Adalat was organised today at District Court Complex Janipur, Jammu, under the Chairmanship of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Jammu R.K Wattal.
To settle the cases in the Lok Adalat six benches were constituted.
Bench No. 01 was comprised of Nighat Sultana, Addl. District Judge, Bank Cases Jammu, Y.P Kotwal, Ist Additional District & Sessions Judge Jammu dealt with Bank Recovery cases.
Bench No. 02 was comprised of Surjeet Singh Bali, Sub Judge/Special Mobile Magistrate, Jammu and O.P Bhagat, Municipal Magistrate Jammu dealt with Municipal and Revenue cases.
Bench No. 03 was comprised of Sandeep Gandotra, Spl. Mobile Magistrate, Passenger Tax, Jammu and Preet Simran Kour, Munsiff, Jammu dealt with Excise Cases and Civil Cases.
Bench No. 04 was comprised of Pawan Sharma, Sub Judge Jammu and Rajni Bhagat, 3rd Addl. Muniff, Jammu to dealt with Cr. Compoundable and Petty Criminal Offences.
Bench No. 05 was comprised of Sudesh Sharma, Sub Judge Electricity Magistrate, Jammu and Shabnam Sheikh, Forest Magistrate Jammu dealt with Electricity Water and Passenger Tax cases.
Bench No. 06 was comprised of Dinesh Gupta, Spl. Mobile Magistrate Traffic Jammu and Slahuddin Ahmed, Addl. Mobile Magistrate Traffic, Jammu Jammu dealt with Traffic matters and petty offences.
A total number of 56 cases were taken up out of which 41 numbers of cases were disposed off. A total fine of Rs 18,20,387 was settled in the Lok Adalat.
