JAMMU : The Jammu and Kashmir government today said 4111 Village Defence Committees are operation in Jammu province.
In a written reply, Minister-in-charge Home and Chief Minister Mufyi Mohammad Sayeed said, “As many as 4111 VDCs are functional in Jammu province.”
He added that 197 cases have registered against VDC members in the region out of which three cases have been closed as no admitted, two cases as untraced, 190 have been challaned and two cases are under investigations.
