1 dead In Clashes In Kashmir, Valley Under Curfew On Eid

Srinagar  : One person has been killed and several others injured during clashes with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora as all 10 districts in the Valley observes Eid under a strict curfew for the first time since independence.

In its 67th day of lockdown, prayer congregations have not been allowed in Kashmir and people have been asked to offer prayers in local mosques. The otherwise bustling marketplaces are deserted. Bakery and sweet shops are closed. Shepherds who wait for the whole year to sell sheep for Eid sacrifice are not finding customers.
