430 fined for violating COVID-19 SOPs

RAMBAN, Apr 9: Four hundred and thirty persons were fined for violating COVID-19 SOPs.
On the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban PD Nitya, 430 people were challaned in district Ramban for violating the COVID-19 SOPs during the past 15 days.
All these violators were fined for not wearing masks and not maintaining the social distancing at public places. A fine to the tune of Rs 1,27,300 was realised.
SSP Ramban PD Nitya has appealed to the public to follow the prescribed standard operating procedures to fight the spread of this deadly virus in district Ramban.
“As this deadly virus is raising its ugly head again in the country, we exhort all the people to wear masks, maintain social distancing, wash hands regularly or use sanitizers, avoid gatherings, and be a COVID warrior by spreading this word of caution to one and all”, SSP PD Nitya added.
