UDHAMPUR, May 28: A week long mega Lok Adalat was held in the District Court Complex under the chairmanship of Ashok Kumar Koul, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority.
During the Lok Adalat, two benches were constituted. The first bench comprising of Ashok Kumar Koul, Principal, District and Sessions Judge and Mohinder Kumar Sharma, Additional District and Sessions Judge was constituted to deal with matrimonial and MACT cases.
The second bench comprising of Jatinder Singh Jamwal, CJM and Amit Sharma, Munsiff, JMIC was constituted to deal with civil and criminal matters.
During week long Lok Adalat, a total of 110 cases were taken up, out of which 14 MACT cases were settled, 40 civil and criminal cases were settled. A compensation of Rs 11,50,500 was in MACT cases.
