POONCH, May 7: A total 46 trucks loaded with goods exchanged sides at Chakkan-da-Bagh LoC point in district Poonch today.
Official sources said that the trade worth Rs 1.54 crore took place today at this LoC point. A total 25 trucks loaded with bananas, onion, `Jeera’ etc, worth Rs 70 lakh were sent to PoK by the traders from this side while 21 trucks loaded with almonds, dry dates, herbs, potatoes etc worth Rs 84 lakh arrived here today.
The LoC point was opened between 12 and 12.30 pm and then between 4 and 4.30 pm IST. Mohd Afzal from Pak side while Jagdish Ram from Indian side were deployed as Trade Facilitation officers.
