48 bovine animals rescued, 3 smugglers arrested

JAMMU, Dec 28: Nagrota and Jhajjar Kotli Police Station rescued 48 bovine animals from four Srinagar bound trucks and arrested three smugglers, a police official said.
The arrested persons have been identified as Murad Ali, son of Abdul Ghani of Batote, District Ramban, Shokat Ali, son of Mohammad Hanief of Larnoo, District Anantnag and Fayaz Ahmed Chohan, son of Mohammad Sardar of Dooru, District Anantnag.
Case under relevant sections have been registered at Nagrota and Jhajjar Kotli Police Stations and investigation started.
Police teams led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Deepak Pathania and SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Sanjeev Gupta and assisted by ASI Janak Singh, HC Kewal Singh, HC Mohammad Ramzan, Constable Naeem Shahjad and Constable Parshotam made the arrest under the supervision of Mohan Lal Sharma SDPO Nagrota and Dushyant Sharma SP Rural Jammu.
