49 bovine animals rescued, 6 smugglers arrested

REASI, June 13: Foiling three separate attempts of bovine smuggling in Reasi district, Police today rescued 49 animals and arrested six smugglers.
Acting on specific information about smuggling of bovines in Bandey Narh area of Mahore, team of Special Police Picket Khour (Mahore) negotiated steep hill slopes for more than 2 hours and arrested three notorious bovines smugglers namely Nazir Ahmed son of Sardar Mohd, Sadiq Hussain son of Baj Hussain, Aijaz Ahmed son of Wazir Ali, all resident of Channa tehsil Chassana.
Police rescued 26 bovines from the possession of smuggler, who were on way to Kulgam district of Kashmir valley. In this regard FIR number 32/ 2021, under Section 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Mahore.
In another success, team of Police Station Mahore intercepted and arrested one notorious bovine smuggler Noor Hussain son of Shah Wali of Thillo tehsil Thuroo from Bandey Narh and rescued 13 bovines from his possession.
In this regards FIR no 33/2021, under Section 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Mahore.
Foiling another attempt of bovines smuggling in Chassana area, team of Police Station Chassana apprehended two notorious bovine smugglers namely Aijaz Ahmed and his brother Mohd Iqbal of Tulli from Sungri area of Chassana and rescued 10 bovines from their possession.
In this regard FIR number 21/2021, under Section 188 IPC was registered at Police Station Chassana. Pertinent to mention that accused Mohd Iqbal is a habitual bovines smuggler and FIR number 65/2020 U/S 188 IPC already stands registered against him in Police Station Mahore in the year 2020.
