JAMMU, Nov 7: 49th Raising Day of NHPC was observed here today.
Speaking on the occasion, R.K. Vishnoi, CMD, NHPC extended his best wishes to all NHPC employees.
Vishnoi informed that during 2022-23, NHPC along with its JVs generated 30350 million units of electricity which is the highest generation till date.
He also informed that last year the Plant Availability Factor (PAF) was 88.75% which is also the highest till date.CMD, NHPC further said that NHPC achieved record Profit After Tax (PAT) in the financial year 2022-23 at Rs. 3834 crore which is higher than the previous record of Rs 3538 crore by more than 8.3%.
Vishnoi also expressed his gratitude to the Government of India, Ministry of Power and to R.K. Singh, Union Minister of Power, New and Renewable Energy under whose able leadership a new energy has been infused in the hydro power sector and NHPC is getting its direct benefits in the form of new projects.
A special highlight of the celebration was the unveiling of the New NHPC Flag and launching of ‘Bandhan’ portal, a special matrimonial portal for NHPC employees developed by NHPC IT&C and HR Division.
During the celebrations, winners of NHPC Awards Scheme (FY 2022-23) under various categories such as Best Power Station, Best Construction Project, Exemplary Commitment, Star of NHPC and Star student for Class X and Class XII were awarded.
Among others who grace the occasion, included R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance), Biswajit Basu, Director (Projects), R.K. Chaudhary, Director (Technical), Santosh Kumar, CVO and NHPC Independent Directors Dr.Uday Sakharam Nirgudkar, Prof. (Dr.) Amit Kansal, Prof. (Dr.) Rashmi Sharma Rawal and Jiji Joseph.
