4th edition of Bajan Mala released

JAMMU, Feb 1: Fourth edition of Bajan Mala was released at Radio Sharda in a simple but impressive function by founder Director, Radio Sharda and president, Pir Panchal, Ramesh Hangloo here, today.
The function besides, Avtar Jotshi Associate Editor Vijeshwar Panchang, was attended by Behari Kak, Krishan Kumar Raina, Jeetender Jotshi, Asha Zaroo and Bharti Zaroo among others.
The Bajan Mala is a collection of different bajans which was compiled by Avtar Jotshi in the memory of his wife.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramesh Hangloo appreciated the efforts of Avtar Jotshi for compiling the Bajan Mala and other community services.
He said Radio Sharda has also been doing lot of efforts for the propagation of these ethos. He appreciated the decision taken by both the almanac editors for celebrating the Shivratri on February 20 on the efforts of some community leaders there by averting a big confusion in the community.
Avtar Jotshi in his address recalled the role of Vijeshwar Panchag and said Jyotshi Karyalya Gole Gujral is always open to discussions on any confusion among the rituals or festivals and it was on the insistence of some community leaders the Editorial Board of Vijeshwar Panchang decided to celebrate Maha Shivratri on February 20 and “We will stick to this formula for future also”.
