5.0 magnitude quake jolts Hindukush region

NEW DELHI:
An earthquake, measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale, struck the mountainous Hindukush region today.
The temlor, that hit the region at 1534 hrs, was epicentered at 36.6 degrees North Latitude and 71.6 degree East Longitude, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a statement. Its focal depth was measured at 10 km. (AGENCIES)
