SRINAGAR : An earth quake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale rocked Kashmir valley in the wee hours today.
According to a Met department spokesman here, tremors were felt at 0115 hours in the valley.
People rushed out of their homes in panic despite cold outside and took shelter in open spaces.
He said the tremor was epicentred at Kashmir China border.
There were no immediate reports of any lose of life or damage to property. (AGENCIES)
