JAMMU, Nov 8: Chowki Choura police arrested five gamblers and recovered 13,400 stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Chowki Choura Police Post conducted raid and apprehended five gamblers along with Rs 13,400 stake money and playing cards.
The arrested persons have been identified as Darshan Lal, son of Nihal Chand, Om Parkash, son of Jagan Nath, Suram Singh, son of Ishri Singh, Sohan Lal, son of Amarnath and Puran Chand, son of Rugal Chand, all residents of Ghar.
Cognizance under relevant sections has been taken by Chowki Choura Police.
Police team led by Incharge Chowki Choura Police Post SI Ravi Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Akhnoor Inspector Shivdev Singh, SDPO Akhnoor Ajay Sharma, SP Rural Dushyant Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
