JAMMU, Mar 2: RS Pura and Gajansoo police arrested five persons along with heroin and illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station RS Pura laid a naka at village Kotli Shah Doula and arrested four drug peddlers/addicts and recovered 12 grams heroin and 3 syringes.
The arrested persons were identified as Sham Lal, son of Om Parkash and Love Kishore, son of Vikramjeet, both residents of Ward Number 8 Tehsil RS Pura District Jammu, Aatish Pandey, son of Surinder Kumar and Rahul Luthra, son of Kuldeep Rah, both residents of Ward Number 6, Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 38/2020 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at RS Pura Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Jai Paul Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Ahmed Khan, Additional SP Headquarters Raza Adil Hamid Ganaie and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
Meanwhile, a team from Border Police Post Gajansoo led by ASI Sanjeet Singh under the supervision of SHO Kanachak Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar laid a naka at Bhola Chak and arrested a bootlegger along with 59 bottles of illicit liquor.
The arrested person has been identified as Sikander Lal, son of Beeru Ram of Halqa marh, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 39/2020 under section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Kanachak Police Station and investigation started.
