5 booked for not depositing weapons

JAMMU, Mar 28: Five persons have been booked for not depositing their licensed weapons in local police stations even after order issued by District Magistrate Jammu and subsequent notices served by local police stations.
An order in this regard was issued by District Magistrate Jammu and all the licensed weapon holders were asked to deposit their weapons in local police stations in view of forth coming Parliamentary polls.
Although majority of licensed weapon holders got deposited their weapons in Police Stations but five people paid no attention to the order even after police served them reminder through notices.
Taking strong note it, cases under FIR Numbers 42/19 and 47/19 have been registered at Bishnah and RS Pura Police Stations respectively against five persons.
Two persons, who have been booked by RS Pura Police were identified as Ashok Kumar, son of Doulat Ram and Mohinder Singh, son of Prem Singh, both residents of Badyal Brahmana, while three persons, who have been booked by Bishnah Police were identified as Krishan Singh, son of Chain Singh, Kartar Singh, son of Munsha Singh and Amar Nath, son of Munshi Ram, all residents of village Harsa Dabber Tehsil Bishnah.
Further investigations into the cases are going on.
