UDHAMPUR, Mar 28: Foiling an attempt of bovine smuggling in Ramnagar, Police rescued a vehicle carrying five bovine animals, here today.
The vehicle, bearing registration number JK14J-3697, was intercepted by a team of Police Station Ramnagar, led by SHO Purab Singh. During patrolling duty at Ramnagar- Kulwanta road.
During checking, five bovines were found ladden inside the vehicle in a cruel manner and being transported illegally without any valid permission. The driver of the vehicle managed to escape from the spot after leaving behind his vehicle on the road.
All the bovines were rescued and shifted to a safer place while the vehicle was seized. In this regard, case FIR number 39/2025 has been registered under relevant sections of law, registered at Police Station Ramnagar.
