UDHAMPUR, Aug 7: Chenani Police today rescued five bovine animals and seized a TATA load carrier, in which these animals were being smuggled to Kashmir Valley
Reports said that acting on reliable information, a Police party from Chenani Police Station laid a naka near on the National Highway and intercepted one TATA load carrier bearing registration number JK02AW-1806, which was on way towards Srinagar. During thorough search, the vehicle was found loaded with five bovine animals, which were rescued by Police.
However driver of the vehicle managed to give a slip to the naka party. Police seized the vehicle and registered a case in this connection.
