UDHAMPUR, Jan 19: Udhampur Police rescued five bovine animals, which were being smuggled to Kashmir, here today.
A Tata Mobile vehicle, in which the bovines were being carried, was also seized even as driver and his accomplice managed to escape.
Reports said that based on reliable information, a Police Party from Police Post Roun Domail Udhampur, laid a surprise naka near Roun Domail and intercepted one Tata Mobile, which was on way towards Kashmir. During the search, the vehicle was found loaded with five bovine animals that were rescued.
