JAMMU, June 27: Sidhra Police foiled bovine smuggling bid by rescuing 5 bovine animals and arrested one person.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Sidhra Police Post led by SI Ayoub Khan under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma laid a naka and intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK02CA-5032.
During checking, police team rescued 5 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who was identified as Ravi Kumar, son of Shanker Dassey of Nelli Talab District Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 255/2020 under section 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
