BISHNAH, Sept 16: Police today rescued five bovine animals being smuggled illegally from Sarore to Jammu.
According to a police spokesperson, a police party led by SHO, Police Station Bishnah, laid a naka at Palli Morh Bari Brahmana and intercepted the one Mahindra Load Carrier bearing registration number JK 02 AC-3143.
After thorough search, five bovine animals were found packed inside the said vehicle, which were being transported illegally from Sarore to Jammu.
All the bovines were rescued by the police but the driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot.
In this regard, a case FIR No 121/13 U/S 279/188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
