5 bovines rescued

JAMMU, Jan 15: Jhajjar Kotli police rescued 5 bovine animals.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Jhajjar Kotli police station laid a naka and signaled a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK14B-5599 to stop for checking.
On seeing police team, the driver accelerated the vehicle and escaped, but the cops chased and intercepted the vehicle near some distance from the naka point.
During checking, police rescued 5 bovine animals from the vehicle, but the driver managed to escape from the spot.
The accused was trying to smuggle the bovine animals to Valley, but his attempt was thwarted by the police.
A case under FIR Number 5/16 under Section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli police station and manhunt has been launched to nab the bovine smuggler.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli police station Inspector Ravinder Singh foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat bhushan Sharma, SP Rural Rajiv Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
