5 bovines rescued, accused escape

JAMMU, May 7: Khour police rescued five bovine animals, while the accused managed to escape.
As per police sources, police team from Khour police station laid a naka at Naryana and intercepted a Bolero load carrier without registration number.
The driver speeded up the vehicle and after abandoning it at some isolated place escaped from the spot taking benefit of the darkness.
The accused driver has been identified as Mohammad Rafiq, son of Mohammad Karim of Rajpura, Thatar Kanachack.
Police team led by SHO police station Khour SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta and PSI Rajinder Khajuria reached the spot, where the vehicle was abandoned by the accused and during checking, rescued 5 bovines from the vehicle.
A case under FIR number 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered and manhunt has been launched to nab the driver of the vehicle.
