KATHUA, Jan 19: Industrial Estates Police rescued five bovine animals and seized a vehicle.
As per police sources, a police team led by Incharge Industrial Estates Kathua Inspector Rajinder Khajuria under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua Shammi Kumar and SSP Kathua RC Kotwal laid a naka at near Berrian Pattan and intercepted a Mahindra Load Carrier bearing registration number JK08L-5795.
During checking, police team rescued five bovine animals and seized the vehicle.
A case FIR Number 26/2022 under Sections 279, 188 IPC and 11/PCA Act was registered at Police Station Kathua and hunt has been launched to nab the cattle smuggler(s), who managed to escape from the spot.
