JAMMU, Dec 16: Five cattle were killed as a cattle shed caught fire in Dodaj area of Darhal today.
Reports said the incident took place in the house of Mohd Shakoor Malik, son of Mohd Gani Malik, resident of Panchayat Dodaj-B, Ward No. 6 of Darhal tehsil. Due to electrical short circuit the structure cauight fire in which a cow, four buffaloes and some chickens were burnt alive.
As soon as the incident was reported, locals reached the spot but could not save the cattle. The villagers demanded financial assistance for the poor family.
