398 test +ve, total crosses 13000 mark

Srinagar, July 18: Kashmir today reported five deaths of COVID-19 positive cases taking the number of deaths in Jammu and Kashmir to 236 while 398 fresh cases of Novel Coronavirus were reported from Valley taking the total number of positive cases beyond 13000 mark.
An official said that a 52-year-old CRPF man from Assam who was admitted on 17 July to SMHS hospital in Srinagar died today. He was suffering from bilateral pneumonia.

An 80-year-old woman from Bandipora who was admitted to SKIMS Soura on July 11 as a case of hypertension, community acquired pneumonia died last night.
A woman from Khansahib Budgam who was admitted on July 3 died at SMHS today. She was suffering from bilateral pneumonia.
A 55-year-old year old man from Sallar, Pahalgam who was suffering from COPD, diabetes and bilateral pneumonia died today.
Kashmir today reported 398 fresh cases of Novel Coronavirus taking the total number of positive cases beyond 13000 mark. With these fresh cases, the tally of positive cases in J&K is now 13198 including 10511 from Kashmir and 2687 from Jammu.
Those who tested positive today include 124 from Srinagar, 25 from Kulgam, 63 from Baramulla, 27 from Shopian, 47 from Anantnag, 2 from Kupwara, 48 from Pulwama, 41 from Budgam, 5 from Bandipora and 16 from Ganderbal in Kashmir.
An official said that 1055 samples were processed at SKIMS virology laboratory in Srinagar and 96 tested positive including 21 travelers, 32 from Srinagar, 18 from Anantnag, six from Baramulla, four each from Budgam and Ganderbal, three each from Pulwama and Bandipora, two each from Ramban and one each from Shopian, Beerwah Budgam and Kulgam.
An official said that 487 samples were processed at virology lab of SKIMS Medical College Bemina Srinagar and 55 tested positive with all of them from Srinagar district.
The official said that 1029 samples were processed at the Chest Diseases laboratory in Srinagar and 97 tested positive.
As per officials figures, 1982 positive cases including 59 deaths and 570 recoveries are from Srinagar, 1527 including 48 deaths and 848 recoveries are from Baramulla, 1140 including 791 recoveries and 24 deaths are from Kulgam, 1082 including 18 deaths and 791 recoveries are from Shopian, 1032 including 18 deaths and 679 recoveries are from Anantnag, 833 including 533 recoveries and 13 deaths are from Kupwara, 842 including 463 recoveries and 11 deaths are from Pulwama, 749 including 388 recoveries and 18 deaths are from Budgam, 428 including 329 recoveries and 5 deaths are from Bandipora and 267 including 111 recoveries and 4 death are from Ganderbal.
Out of 498,007 samples processed in Jammu and Kashmir 484,809 tested negative while as 13,198 tested positive. Among these 5797 are active and 7165 persons have recovered and 236 persons died.
