JAMMU, Apr 22: A five-day capacity building training programme for constitution of Resource Group in Science & Mathematics concluded today at State Institute of Education (SIE) Jammu.
The programme was organized by Science and Mathematics Wings of SIE Jammu. A total of 68 participants (31 in Science and 37 in Mathematics) from all ten districts of Jammu Division participated in the programme.
The main objective of the workshop was to inculcate scientific aptitude and equip the participants with the latest pedagogical skills used in teaching of Science and Mathematics.
The programme was co-ordinated by Charan Dass, Research Officer (Science Wing) and Ajmer Singh (Mathematics Wing) under the overall supervision of Mohd Iqbal, Joint Director (Trgs)/Principal, SIE, Jammu.
Nand Kishore, Puneet Thukral, BD Sharma, Shashi Pal Sharma, JP Singh, Tarsem Singh, Rajesh Kumar, Bhupinder Singh, Rajinder Kumar and Naresh Jain acted as internal and external resource persons in these workshops. They delivered lectures on various topics in Science and Mathematics.
The valedictory function was presided over by Mohd Iqbal, Joint Director (Trgs)/Principal, SIE Jammu along with Darshan Lal, Joint Director (SSA), Directorate of School Education, Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Darshan Lal exhorted the participants to work hard in their respective district/zone and transmit the same in cascade manner.
During interaction with the participants, Mohd Iqbal stressed upon adopting latest ICT techniques for an effective teaching learning process.
