JAMMU, Nov 18: Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, is organizing an international style five- day training-cum-performance programme on Acting/Theatre with the title ‘Actors at Work’ from November 26 at the ICCR headquarters Jammu.
This was informed here today by the Regional Director of ICCR Jammu, Balwant Thakur at a press briefing.
Giving details, he said that this unique training programme is being conducted by Asheish Nijhawan who after post graduating from National School of Drama (NSD) has undergone specialized theatre and acting training in London International School of performing Arts, UK.
Regarding the workshop, Balwant Thakur informed that in all five days, the participating actors will produce an improvised performance and the same will be performed everyday at the culmination of the work. This training programme will be free of charges and is open to all between the age group of 16 to 40 but they will be required to register themselves at the ICCR office, situated at 46-Garden Avenue, Talab Tillo, Jammu.
