SRINAGAR, Nov 18: Kashmir today recorded five COVID-19 deaths taking the toll in Jammu and Kashmir to 1,613 while 333 including 13 soldiers and 2 police men tested positive in Valley taking the tally of such cases in J&K to 104,155.
Two of those who died were from Srinagar and one each from Baramulla, Pulwama and Budgam.
They include a 54-year-old woman from Miskeen Bagh Khanyar in Srinagar, a 59-year-old woman from Batwara area of Srinagar, a 70-year-old woman from Wuyan in district Pulwama, a 65-year-old woman from Haroon Khanshab in district Budgam and 59-year-old woman from Palhallan Pattan in Baramulla district.
With these deaths, the total fatality count in the Valley has reached 1068.
Srinagar district with 401 deaths topped the list followed by Baramulla 159, Budgam 98, Pulwama 86, Kupwara 78, Anantnag 76, Bandipora 49, Kulgam 48, Ganderbal 37 and Shopian 36.
Those who tested positive in Kashmir today include 136 from Srinagar, 50 Baramulla, 46 Budgam, 17 Pulwama, 24 Kupwara, 12 Anantnag, 17 Bandipora, 28 Ganderbal, 1 Kulgam and 2 from Shopian.
As per officials figures, 21,820 positive cases including 401 deaths and 19,845 recoveries are from Srinagar, 7,053 including 159 deaths and 6,283 recoveries are from Baramulla, 6,548 including 6,176 recoveries and 98 deaths are from Budgam, 4,901 including 4,675 recoveries and 86 deaths are from Pulwama, 4,951 including 78 deaths and 4,348 recoveries are from Kupwara, 4,453 including 4,182 recoveries and 76 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,273 cases including 4,074 and 49 deaths are from Bandipora, 4,012 including 3,680 recoveries and 37 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,557 including 2,437 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,285 including 2,178 recoveries and 36 deaths are from Shopian.
The total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 5,570 including 3,907 from Kashmir division.
With 580 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 96,972, which is 93.10 percent of the total cases.
So far 2,701,918 people have been tested for COVID in J&K and 2,597,763 tested negative while 104,155 tested positive. Among them 5,570 persons are active, 96,972 persons have recovered and 1,613 persons have died.
There are 62,853 positive cases in Kashmir. Out of the positive cases in Kashmir, 57,878 have recovered and 1,068 died.
