Srinagar, Oct 14: Kashmir reported five more COVID-19 related deaths today taking the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir to 1354 while 437 people tested positive in Valley taking the J&K tally of positive cases to 85409.
Those who died today include four from Srinagar and one from Shopian district of South Kashmir.
A 65-year-old woman who was diagnosed with bilateral Community Acquired Pneumonia died six days after being admitted to the hospital.
A 65-year-old man from Safakadal Srinagar died 11 days after he was admitted to SKIMS Soura. Two more men-a 70-year-old and a 73-year-old from Lal Bazar died at the SKIMS Soura hospital today.
The 70-year-old man was admitted on October 10 while the 73-year-old was admitted on October 8 to the hospital.
With these deaths, the fatality count has reached 911 in Valley. Srinagar district with 325 deaths topped the list followed by Baramulla 132, Budgam 90, Pulwama 75, Kupwara 71, Anantnag 70 and Kulgam 43.
And 437 people tested positive in Kashmir valley taking the Jammu and Kashmir tally to 85409.
Srinagar reported 163 cases, Budgam 43, Baramulla 70, Pulwama 26, Kupwara 23, Anantnag 28, Bandipora 32, Ganderbal 35 and Kulgam 8.
As per officials figures, 17,064 positive cases including 325 deaths and 14,969 recoveries are from Srinagar, 5,515 including 90 deaths and 4,790 recoveries are from Budgam, 5,033 including 3,440 recoveries and 132 deaths are from Baramulla, 4,316 including 3,971 recoveries and 74 deaths are from Pulwama, 3,969 including 70 deaths and 3,296 recoveries are from Kupwara, 3,843 including 3,416 recoveries and 70 deaths are from Anantnag, 3,752 cases including 3,358 and 42 deaths are from Bandipora, 3,225 including 2,942 recoveries and 30 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,357 including 2,228 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,111 including 1,967 recoveries and 33 deaths are from Shopian.
Moreover, 816 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 415 from Kashmir valley.
They said out of the positive cases, 9739 are active positive, 74318 have recovered and 1354 have died including 909 in Kashmir division.
Also, out of 1902884 samples processed, 1817475 have tested negative and 85409 as positive.
