RAJOURI, Aug 4: The police today recovered stake money to the tune of Rs 40,810 from the possession of five persons who were caught gambling in a private hotel of Rajouri town last night.
A specific input was received by police and a police party led by SHO Rajouri Tahir Khan under the supervision of DySP Ops Sukhdev Singh raided the hotel located in Salani market.
During raid, five boys were found gambling. Stake money to the tune of Rs 40,810 has been recovered from their possession besides five mobile phones and gambling cards.
Those arrested have been detained under Gambling Act. They are – Mohd Aijaz from Khandli, Sanjay Sharma from Tandwal, Anil Sharma from Dhangri, Maqbool Ahmed from ward No 2 Rajouri and Sachin Gupta from Ward No 10 Rajouri.
