SRINAGAR, Aug 26: Police today claimed to have solved a murder case of a youth by arresting five persons involved his killing in Kulgam last month.
A police spokesman said the body of a youth Yawar Amin Ganie son of Mohammad Amin Ganie of Pariwan was recovered from a canal between Pariwan and Rakhama in July. The body bore visible marks of violence. Police registered a case FIR number 172/2014 under Section 302/RPC to ascertain the cause of the death in Police Station Kulgam and investigation was taken up.
Police arrested five persons involved in the murder, thereby solving the case. The accused involved in the murder have been identified as Zubair Ahmad Ganie, Muneeb Hamid Mir, Mubarak Ahmad Naik, Anayatullah Mushtaq all residents of Rakhama, Shopian and Mohammad Aqib Nengroo resident of Sempora Kulgam.
The case was being investigation by DySP Hqrs Kulgam Irshad Hussain Rather.
