KISHTWAR, July 3: Five persons were injured when the Grand i-10 car they were travelling in rolled down into gorge near Chinal Dandu area on Anantnag-Sinthan-Kishtwar road here today.
The il-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK03J-7423 was on its way to Chatroo from Anantnag, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into gorge near Chinal Dandu area on Anantnag-Sinthan-Kishtwar road, resulting into injuries to five persons.
On getting information, a team from Police Station Chatroo led by SHO Sandeep Parihar rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals and army personnel.
All the injured were referred to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Chatroo where their condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
The injured was identified as Anayat Hussain, son of Mushtaq Ahmed, Touseef Ahmed, son of Mohammad Yousaf, Muneeb Ahmed, son of Mohammad Ramzan, Raqeeb Ahmed, son of Nazir Ahmed and Adil Shaffi, son of Mohammad Shaffi, all resident of District Anantnag.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Chatroo and investigation started.
