5 injured as mini-bus plunges into gorge

RAMBAN, Aug 4: Five persons were injured, when the mini-bus they were travelling in, skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Nachlana area, falling under the jurisdiction of Banihal Police Station.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-1505 plying between Khari to Banihal rolled down into gorge due to negligent driving by the driver, resulting into injuries to five persons.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and rescued the injured persons. All the injured persons were rushed to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Banihal, where they were undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
The injured persons have been identified as Juber Ahmed (driver), son of Abdul Latif, a resident of Talab, Riyaz Ahmed of Banihal, Shabir Nazir (12), son of Nazir of Shagun, Mohammad Ashif (11), son of Abdul Gani of Nachlana and Riyaz Salim (13), son of Mohammad Salim of Ramsoo.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Banihal Police Station and investigation started.
