5 injured in road mishaps

Srinagar, Oct  15:  Police today said that five persons were injured in various road accidents in Kashmir.
A police spokesman said that an Alto Car bearing chassis number 705263 collided with a motorcycle bearing registration number JK03-9281 near Petrol Pump in Dooru area of Anantnag district resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist, Sabzar Ahmad. “The injured was shifted to district hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said that a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK03E-0328 collided with Tata Ace load carrier at  Kachakoot in Awantipora area of Pulwama district, resulting in injuries to the driver of Tata Ace, Mohammad Younis Shah.  “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman said.
He said that a Sumo bearing registration number JK05A-9453 hit and injure a pedestrian, Ofran Iqbal Sheikh at Chogal in Handwara area of Kupwara district. “The injured was shifted to JVC Srinagar for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the police spokesman said.
A Tavera vehicle bearing registration number JK03-2731 collided with a Swift car bearing registration number JK01W-1841 near PHE Kakapora in Pulwama district, resulting in injuries to Shabnum Rashid, and her 8 year old daughter Toiba. “Both the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the police spokesman added.
