5 injured in road mishaps

Srinagar, Feb 16: Police today said five persons were injured in different road accidents across the valley.
A police spokesman said a Maruti car bearing registration number JK01K-4899 turned turtle near Power House Kangan in Ganderbal district, resulting in injuries to two persons boarding the car. “Both the injured were shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a van bearing registration number JK18-9439 hit and injured a five year-old boy namely Tahir Mukhtar at Batingoo village of Qazigund in Kulgam district. “The injured was shifted to Emergency Hospital Qazigund for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a Maruti car bearing registration number JK01G-8343 collided with a tractor bearing registration number JK09-5407 at Turkipora in Handwara are of Kupwara district, resulting in injuries to two persons namely Abdul Ahad Khan and Bilal Ahmad Khan. “Both the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
