RAMBAN, Jan 15: Five persons got injured, when the tempo they were traveling collided with a tanker near Batote on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
As per police sources, a tempo bearing registration number JK02AE-7905 collided head-on with a tanker bearing registration number JKO2AD-4725 near Batote, resulting into injuries to five persons.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Batote, where their condition was stated to be out of danger, when reports last came in.
The injured have been identified as Ghulam Qadir, son of Ghulam Mohammad and Irfzana Feroz, wife of Feroz Ahmed, both residents of Model Town Sopore, Ashiq Ahmed, son of Hakmitollah of Kupwara, Khar Singh, son of Janak Singh of Karan Bagh, Jammu and driver Gurdeep Singh, son of Krishan Singh of Trikuta Nagar.
A case in this regard has been registered at Batote police station and investigation started.
