SRINAGAR, Oct 19: Five persons were killed and two others injured in different road accidents across the Valley today.
A police spokesman said three persons, who were among the five injured in a collision between a Maruti car (JK05B/8813) and a bus (JK01H/9870) at Janbazpora in district Baramulla, succumbed to their injuries in SKIMS here.
The deceased included Parvaiz Ahmad Khan son of Mohammad Sajad, Mariya Bano daughter of Maqsood Khan and Anayatullah Khan son of Yar Mohammad residents of Ladoo, Rafiabad. The spokesman said the other two injured are under treatment in SKIMS hospital.
Mohammad Musa Mehander son of Mohammad Yousuf of Kalakote, Rajouri, who was injured in a road mishap at Sether in district Anantnag last week also succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS here.
A pedestrian Jamsheeda daughter of Mohammad Maqbool Dar resident of Tujjar Sharief, Sopore was killed when she was hit by an LP Tata minibus bearing registration number JK05/6526, near Harwan, Sopore, the spokesman said.
A woman, Jameela Ahad daughter of Abdul Ahad Parray of Wailoo Kralpora was injured when she was hit by a Van bearing registration number JK01Q/1949 driven by Fasil Mehraj Mir son of Mehraj-ud-Din on way from Tangmarg to Magam in Budgam district. The injured has been shifted to Sub-District Hospital, Magam for treatment, the spokesman said.
A girl, Nazia Akhtar daughter of Shabir Ahmad Khan resident of Naria, Nowshehra, Rajouri, was injured when a Maruti Car bearing registration number JK04A/1425 driven by Tajamul Wali Dar son of Wali Mohammad resident of Chichipora hit her at Batapora, Kunzar. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment, the spokesman said. Police has registered cases in these accidents.
