5 killed in blast in Pak’s tribal belt

PESHAWAR, Apr 25:  At least five people, including two women, were killed and eight others injured today when a bomb went off near a passenger van in Pakistan’s restive northwest tribal region.
The improvised explosive device (IED) blast targeted the van in Kontara village in central Kurram Agency.
Thirteen injured people were shifted to agency headquarters hospital where five succumbed to their injuries.
Security personnel rushed to the blast site and cordoned off the entire area. A search operation was also conducted. (AGENCIES)
