5 live bombs defused in Poonch

JAMMU, Feb 28: Army and police today defused five live bombs at village Azmabad, close to the Line of Control (LoC) in Mandi area of Poonch district.
Two children were injured in a blast at the same forward village a day before. The blast was caused after they stepped over one of the bombs.
Reports said Army and police had been conducting searches in village Azmabad and surrounding areas after the blast and recovered five live bombs this morning. A bomb Disposal Squad took the bombs to safer area, away from the civilian population, and defused them.
Reports said that a major tragedy has been averted with the recovery of live bombs in Azmabad.
Police party in the operation was led by Sabjian Police Post Incharge Sub Inspector Mohammad Shaffi.
