341 fresh cases in Kashmir, tally crosses 19000

Srinagar, July 29: Five more COVID-19 positive patients today died in Kashmir taking the Jammu and Kashmir tally to 341 while Valley recorded 389 fresh positive cases taking the number of cases in J&K to 19419.
Among the fresh deaths, two reported at SMHS hospital here this morning include a 52-year-old woman from Budgam and a 75-year-old man from Wazirbagh Srinagar. Both had comorbidities with Community Acquired Pneumonia. The woman was admitted to the hospital on July 23 and the man on July 27 respectively.

A 65-year-old woman from Mattan Anantnag died at SKIMS Soura this morning. She was suffering from pneumonia and hypertension among other ailments.
A 50-year-old man from Katsoo Pahalgam died at SMHS Hospital here. He was suffering from bilateral pneumonia and was admitted on July 27 and died the same day. He tested positive today.
A 62-year-old man from Zainakadal Srinagar with bilateral pneumonia died today, two days after admission.
So far, 316 deaths have been reported in Kashmir and 25 in Jammu division. Srinagar district with 101 deaths has the highest fatalities followed by Baramulla 65, Kulgam 27, Budgam 25, Anantnag 23, Shopian 20, Kupwara 20 and Pulwama 19.
Kashmir today recorded 389 fresh positive cases COVID-19 taking the number of positive cases to 19419.
The cases that tested positive include 203 from Srinagar, 20 from Baramulla, 15 from Kulgam, 4 from Shopian, 26 from Anantnag, 3 from Kupwara, 67 from Pulwama, 45 from Budgam, 3 from Bandipora and 3 from Ganderbal in Kashmir.
An official said that 143 people tested positive at Chest Diseases virology lab and 74 at SKIMS Soura lab.
As per officials figures, 4476 positive cases including 103 deaths and 1808 recoveries are from Srinagar, 1835 including 67 deaths and 1309 recoveries are from Baramulla, 1491 including 1162 recoveries and 27 deaths are from Kulgam, 1416 including 20 deaths and 1066 recoveries are from Shopian, 1258 including 24 deaths and 950 recoveries are from Anantnag, 1069 including 741 recoveries and 20 deaths are from Kupwara, 1363 including 689 recoveries and 19 deaths are from Pulwama, 1228 including 680 recoveries and 25 deaths are from Budgam, 678 including 435 recoveries and 12 deaths are from Bandipora and 387 including 243 recoveries and 6 deaths are from Ganderbal.
With fresh cases, the positive cases in J&K has reached to 19419 including 15201 from Kashmir and 4218 from Jammu division.
The total number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached to 15201 including 9086 recoveries while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached 4218 including 2236 recoveries and 25 deaths.
The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 7749 including 5792 from Kashmir division and 1957 from Jammu division.
With 437 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 11322 which is 58.30 percent of the total cases which was over 63 percent a few days before.
