MACHIL, Sept 12: The Cabinet, which met here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, approved transfers and postings of five officers in police department.
V. K. Singh, IGP, awaiting orders of adjustment after repatriation from Central deputation has been posted as IGP, Training/CIV, PHQ vice Dr. Kamal Kumar Saini.
Dr. Saini has been transferred and posted as IGP Railways against the vacancy caused due to retirement of Abdul Qayoom Manhas.
Satish S. Khandare, DIG, awaiting orders of adjustment after his repatriation from Central deputation was posted as DIG, CIV, PHQ vice Shakeel Ahmad Beigh.
Danish Rana, DIG, Traffic, Jammu has been transferred and posted as DIG, Rajouri-Poonch range vice M.K Sinha, whose services have been placed at the disposal of CBI for posting as DIG on deputation basis.
Shakeel Ahmad Beigh, DIG, CIV, PHQ, has been transferred and posted as DIG traffic, Jammu vice Danish Rana.
The Cabinet also approved the promotion of Nasreen Khan, senior most Deputy Director Archives, Archaeology and Museums presently attached with Government College of Education Srinagar, as Director Archives, Archaeology and Museums J&K on officiating basis for a period of 6 months.
The Cabinet also approved the transfer of State land measuring 108 kanals and 9 marlas situated in village Khour, Akhnoor for establishment of a Degree College there.
