Jammu, Apr 10: A proposal regarding grant of 5% reservation under “Socially and Educationally Backward Class” to Pahari speaking people is under examination of the Government.
The information was given by Minister for Social Welfare, Bali Bhagat while replying to a clubbed question of Javed Ahmad and Vibodh Gupta in LC here today.
The minister said in light of the observation of Governor, the proposal regarding grant of socially and educationally backward Status for Pahari speaking people is being examined in consultation with J&K State Commission for Backward Classes.
