BHADERWAH, Sept 25: Five shops and two residential houses were today damaged in a fire incident in Doda district.
There was no report of anybody getting injured in the fire which broke out in the wee hours at Trainka village in Bhaderwah tehsil of Doda district, police officials said.
A short circuit had sparked the fire, which started in one of the shops and later spread to the other establishments and residential buildings, they said, adding fire was extinguished by the villagers as fire tenders could not reach the area as only light motor vehicles could ply on the under-construction road leading to the site.
