KARGIL, July 25: Police here today detained five suspects of Kulgam district of Kashmir valley, who had been camping for past four to five days in a hotel.
SSP Kargil T Gyalpo said that police conducted a raid in the hotel after getting input about presence of suspects and detained them. However, no recoveries were made from their possession at the time of arrest.
“We have informed Kulgam police to verify credentials of the suspects. If they were found innocent, they will be released. Presently, they are being questioned to ascertain reasons for camping in Kargil for past four to five days,’’ Gyalpo said.
All the arrested suspects belonged to Kulgam district of Kashmir and had reached Kargil in a private taxi.
