Stolen property recovered by Poonch police on Monday.

POONCH, Nov 11:  With the arrest of  two burglars, the police worked out five theft cases which took place in Sabjian area of  Mandi and recovered stolen property worth over Rs 15 lakhs including a bike and gold ornaments.
The district police came into action after five thefts took place at Lehri in Sabjian area  on the intervening night of August 24 and 25 this year. The local Mandi police failed to solve the case. SP Poonch, Shamsheer Hussain then constituted a special police team  headed by DySP Headquarters Mohd Rashid, assisted by  Inspector S S Slathia, SI Ashiq Hussain Shah and ASI Kali Charan.
The police team after long searches and series of raids, managed to nab two thieves wanted in these cases.  One of them had slipped way to Kashmir and was nabbed after a hot chase. They were identified as Irfan Khan and Shah Jehan, sons of  Mohd Amin, residents of village Shapur, Guntrian in Surankote.  After sustained interrogation of these burglars, the police managed to work out five thefts and recover 16 tola gold ornaments, 20 tola silver, a Pulsar motor-cycle, four watches and two mobile phones besides some other articles and cash. A case FIR No. 75/2013 stand registered against them.
They had committed burglaries in the houses of Master Shamas Din, son of  Habib Ullah, Mohd Ashraf, son of  Mohd Akbar, Hafiz, son of  Abdullah, Mohd Altaf, son of  Sultan Mohd Khan and Mohd Akbar, son of Ghulam Mohiuddin, residents of  Lehri  in Sabjian area of Mandi tehsil in  Poonch district.
