5 vehicles seized for illegal mining

JAMMU, Feb 13: Police on Monday claimed to have seized five vehicles involved in illegal mining.
A police spokesperson said that two tractor trolleys were seized by Police Station Akhnoor, one by Police Station Kanachack, and two by Police Station Arnia.
The recoveries were made by SHO Police Station Akhnoor Inspector Harjeet Singh, SHO Kanachack, Inspector Rahul Mahajan, and SHO Arnia, Inspector Deepak Katoch, said the police spokesperson.
According to him, the mining was done in violation of the order of High Court of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The DMO has also been intimated about the seizures,” added the police spokesperson.
