5 yrs RI to impersonator

JAMMU, Nov 30: 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu, M A Chowdhary today awarded five year imprisonment and fine of Rs 50,000 to Baljeet Singh, son of Chhattar Singh of Devipur Akhnoor for impersonation in the recruitment process for the post of constable.
After hearing APP Ajay Singh Manhas for the State whereas Advocate DS Saini for the accused, the court, “Baljeet Singh had impersonated as his brother Sanjeev Singh in a special drive conducted for the recruitment  for the posts of constables held on December 8, 2007 at Devipur Akhnoor”,  adding “the offences under Sections 419 RPC and 468 for forgery and impersonation were  fully  proved against the accused/convict Baljeet Singh”.
With these observations, court awarded five years imprisonment to Baljeet Singh.
