5 yrs RI to cashier of KV

JAMMU, Dec 4: Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu (CBI Cases) Jammu, Vinod Chatterji Koul today convicted Gandharb Chand Rajgotra, the then UDC/Cashier, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Miran Sahib and awarded him five years Rigorous Imprisonment and fine of Rs 270000.
According to the prosecution case, G C Rajgotra, the then UDC/Cashier in Kendriya Vidyalaya Miran Sahib during the period between 2000 and 2002 committed offences of cheating and criminal breach of trust by way of collecting the amount from various teachers and students for Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi Fund but did not deposit the entire amount in the bank account.
After hearing K S Pathania, Special PP CBI whereas Advocate Seema Sharma appearing for the accused person, Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu observed, “the prosecution has succeeded in establishing charges against accused beyond any reasonable doubt”.
Accordingly, the court convicted Gandharb Chand Ragotra and awarded him five years rigorous imprisonment and a consolidated fine of Rs 270000.
